‘FROM GOOD HOMES’ REMASTERED
We are thrilled to announce that our self-titled 1998 album, ‘From Good Homes’ has been remastered and is available on Apple Music and Spotify.
‘From Good Homes,’ our second full-length album with RCA Records was recorded at Ricky & Son Farm, (the 2nd Red Barn on the Right) during the summer of 1997. We set up camp at the barn a year prior and spent many long days & nights writing and rehearsing there. It felt so good we decided to bring in the recording equipment and capture the album there. The pre-production and recording session was roughly 2-3 weeks. Overdubs were done in Los Angeles - Benmont Tench from Tom Petty’s band, Alex Acuna renowned percussionist from Weather Report and a few more stellar musicians added to the tracks. We thought we were done at that point but RCA “didn’t hear a single…” So we returned to the barn with band member Dan Myers at the helm engineering & producing and we cut 3 more tunes - Kick It On, The Butterfly and the Tree & Broken Road. We mixed these at Mix-o-lydion Studios in Lafayette, NJ with Don Sternecker. Finally, the album was complete…
The original RCA album has been out of print for many years. Thanks to Damian Calcagne and Dan Myers for the beautiful new remaster. It’s wonderful to have this album back out in the world. We loved our time playing at the barn - so many sweet days and nights making music together.
